Hey I’m Jess,
Sacred cacao. I was introduced to this ceremony when I was partaking in the Mystical Mama Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training on the shores of Lake Atitlan in 2022. Cacao originates with the Mayan people, and Lake Atitlan is home to many different Mayan tribes who carry on their traditions to this day (over 20 different dialects are spoken around the lake, with Spanish usually being the second language!).
It’s very important to partake in these ceremonies in a way that honors the people it originated from, and the incredible lands it’s grown in. To this day, every time I take a sip of cacao, I feel completely connected, at home, and just lovely. It is pure heart medicine!
In 2023, I returned to Lake Atitlan and connected with a group of Mayan women who founded their own cacao company, supporting single mothers and handicapped youth around the lake. The proceeds go directly to providing them with a fair, livable wage. It was an honor to meet these incredible sisters and hear of their traditions as well as the importance of cacao in their lives, especially in supporting the female body.
I source my cacao straight from the lake, from these women, on my annual journeys to Lake Atitlan. And in our cacao ceremony, you can expect some space clearing, energy healing, and guided meditations to really receive this feminine medicine and let it open you up in all the best ways.

FAQs
What is cacao?
Cacao comes from the sacred cacao plant, it is the condensed plant in its most natural form (before any oils or goodness are removed). I make mine with milk (typically oat), spices, honey and beneficial herbs. Cacao powder is what’s left when the natural oils and fats have been pressed out. Chocolate is cacao that has been processed, heated, and has milk sugar, oils and other ingredients added.
Where do you source your cacao?
We purchase our cacao directly from Maya Moon, handcrafted by indigenous Mayan women, providing a dignified wage and supporting single mothers and handicapped youth in San Marcos, on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Jess met these women herself and is proud to support their mission and honor their traditions!
Why is it all the buzz?
According to our friends at Maya Moon, cacao is considered to be the ‘nectar of the gods’ and is a ‘true superfood and medicine for the heart’. I think we need all the heart medicine we can get in this day and age, and are craving connecting back to something ancient and sacred.
What makes your sessions different?
Our session together will come from an ancient lineage of Mayan cacao ceremony, and will also include some yoga and energy and space clearing. It is a major reset and refresh for your body, home and day to day.
Can I do this from anywhere?
Cacao ceremonies are inherently done in person, in order to make the cacao and serve it. It’s one of the few services not offered virtually. For something similar from afar, check out my Energy Healing sessions.
Would this be a good ceremony for a Blessingway, Bridal shower or other group gathering?
Absolutely! Cacao is such a fun way to bring people together and enjoy something sacred and delicious. Perfect for your visit to Bozeman, full moon party, mindful bachelorette party, blessingway, or Mother’s way., we’ve done it all. Just book a discovery call to share more of what you have in mind!
