Meet Your Inner Bestie

Hey. bestie!

How often do the thoughts in our head serve us? We are so often our own worst critic. It’s easy to think harshly about ourselves, through our thoughts, actions, emotions and beliefs.

But what if instead we could acknowledge those thoughts and face them sqaurely (as Kamala said recently, ‘if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.’). Face the parts of ourselves we dread or avoid looking at, so they don’t own us.

And then shift that energy to one that actually serves, uplifts and supports us.

No matter how many times I’ve done a version of this practice, it always serves me and feels like such a dang relief. Our inner landscape is everything and needs tending to in this way regularly.

Journaling Prompt

What has your inner critic voice been saying lately? What do you feel it’s trying to show you, tell you, so that you can shift it?

What does your inner bestie voice have to say? How can you honor her more? Who in your life helps to make this voice louder and stronger for you?
